Farmers' Market (Market) Host Group Responsibilities:
Get trained to host by the Downtown West Bend Association (DWBA) staff.
On Market days - Set up and take down the street barricades at designated locations at the Market.
On Market days - Set up and take down A-Frame Signage at designated locations at the Market.
On Market days - Set up and take down traffic cones at designated locations at the Market.
Host groups are expected to begin set up no later than 6:15 am on Market days. Take down begins at 11:00 am and must be completed no later than 11:30 am.
Host Groups are the representatives of DWBA and are expected to follow and enforce Market rules or bring issues to the attention of DWBA staff, one of whom is always on site on Market days.
Host Groups should expect to need 6-10 people to manage the set up and take down.
Host Groups should expect to have volunteers that have the physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and pull / maneuver oversized wagons from the DWBA offices on Main Street to the designated areas of the Market.
Host Groups are expected to designate 1 person from their organization who is in charge on Market days. This person must be identified, along with contact information, to the DWBA as their "point" person.
Farmers' Market Host Groups Receive:
Host organizations are allowed a free stall space, at a designated location, on any date they are acting as the Host Group. Host Groups can host a brat fry, sell bakery or crafts, or just provide information to the guests at their free stall space. Host Groups receive a $75.00 donation each Saturday that they host, paid out after the end of each season.
